Here's how I got here.
I didn't start out as a wellness expert. I started as the complete opposite. And that's exactly why my work is different.
My first job was at a gym, surrounded by bodybuilders and over-the-top fitness pros. Everything there was about the human body. But I saw what most people missed. The body, the mind, and the soul respond as one.
At 21, LIFE hit me hard.
I lost my brother and my father in just under two years. I didn't see either coming. It sucked. There's no prettier way to say it. I was presented with two options, and I thought -thats a raw deal. Fall apart, or Step up to the plate.
All In
For 10 years, I ran a telemarketing firm selling aftermarket parts across the U.S., to customers in places I'd never even set foot in. It was a male-dominated industry with zero room for meltdowns, so my game face was always on. The stress was next level: hitting quotas, protecting the customer experience, and managing women twice my age who still saw me as the boss's daughter, now suddenly in charge. Every single day tested every ounce of my strength.
My Lifestyle Routine
I worked 7 a.m. to 8 p.m., commuted over 2 hrs a day and I still fit in my personal routine: fitness, acupuncture, meditation, my spiritual practice, massage, and yes, some swanky clothes. That's how I held myself together, and how I kept going.
Here's the truth
I didn't just survive it. I mastered it. Until I needed to pause. I believe our hardest seasons aren't happening to us. They're happening for us.
That decade was my training ground. It taught me how to lead, how to sell, and how to keep going when everything in me wanted to stop.
And it gave me more than grit. I was financially independent, living in Manhattan with my own car. I got married, had two kids, built a wellness brand of integrative wellness centers, brought wellness into more than 150 corporations, and traveled to places I'd only dreamed about.
Most of all, it showed me what I was really here to do.
Life is full of crossroads. Some you choose. Some choose you.
What carried me through each one, was shifting my focus to a healthy lifestyle . One that nourished my body, mind and soul.
